Weekly Update – July 28, 2023

System Patches and Updates for July 28th, 2023

The following issues/patches/updates were addressed in our latest update to ServiceWorks:

Resolved Issues

  • Addressed issue where data from custom product field did not copy from job template
  • Removed confirmation window when enabling or disabling discounts
  • Fixed error with invoice toggle items still being visible on invoices when disabled
  • Resolved issue where merging customers caused a refresh loop
  • Addressed error with serialized items not retaining their default price when being added to invoices
  • Fixed issue with warranty claims producing a false error message
  • Enhanced specifications in zone restrictions for addresses in same state as zones
  • Addressed issue where automated enroute notifications displayed technician’s location incorrectly
  • Resolved issue with parts disposition changing in job log
  • Adjusted technician menu view via desktop
  • Customer window now refreshes after deleting customers
  • Resolved issue where ServicePower tickets were not being accepted with auto-accept being enabled
  • Inventory by Location no longer produces internal server error message when ran
  • Miles Traveled now displays correctly in Time Tracking Report
  • Resolved issue with Instant Booking Wizard view order not applying to booking page

Mobile App

  • Added permission to hide completed trips within mobile app
  • Resolved issue with changes to route sheet not being reflected in mobile app
  • Edits made to job forms now save correctly on both desktop and mobile app
  • Addressed with enroute notifications sending incorrect technician location
  • Added permission to hide job search in mobile app
  • Increased content upload size to 80MB
  • Recurring jobs now scheduled on the date selected when created from Customer page
  • Barcode scanning in mobile app can now search item information if linked with Marcone
  • Search field added to Documents section
  • Added line break function to New Job Description, Explanation of Service, Job Note and Trip Note
  • Content Upload no longer excludes files with special characters from list view

Enhancements

  • Invoice number and customer name added to QuickBooks Sync Report
  • Desktop map view now displays technician status (Arrived, Enroute, and Completed)
  • Added the ability to reorder product custom fields
  • Cancelled Customer Report has been changed to Cancelled Jobs
  • Revenue Projection Report added
  • Inventory Sold Report added
  • Tax Rate visibility toggle added to Invoice settings


We update ServiceWorks over a weekend when a patch or update will also affect the mobile app. This prevents our customers from getting an update notice on their mobile devices when starting their workday. Please look for our Maintenance Notification Emails. Please note, the morning after a promotion to the system you may see some temporary slowness when first logging into your account. This will clear up quickly as your system takes in the new updates
