As you continue to use your ServiceWorks account and all its features, you may find yourself in a position where you’ll need to reach out to your customers or technicians quickly using the SMS messaging features. But which one is the right one for you?
Here’s a quick guide to help you differentiate between the two methods available:
Two-Way Messaging
The two-way messaging feature of ServiceWorks enables you to text/chat with your customers and technicians from your office or even from the field, a feature that is convenient if you have to communicate anything before the appointment. This can also be used for technicians to contact each other about jobs or services. Customer conversations are not private, as both users and customers have access to their own copy of the transcript logs.
The tabs for two-way messaging can be found on the desktop by clicking the down arrow next to your user profile icon in the toolbar

And in the mobile app, these messages can be seen by clicking on the More button on the home screen and then Message

Internal Messaging (Job Discussions)
With the internal messaging, or Job Discussions, feature, you can chat directly with your techs in the field about the specifics of job details. Unlike two-way messaging, these conversations will only be able to be seen by admins and the tech(s) assigned to the job.
Within the mobile app, pending job discussions can be seen from the home screen . Click the job discussions button to be taken to a list of discussions awaiting a response
