Wondering what a customer’s previous purchases were or what support issues they’ve encountered? Well, wonder no more! In this tutorial, we’ll be diving into the powerful customer history function, helping you unlock a wealth of information about your customers in just a few clicks, such as past purchases, support tickets, and communication history. This will allow you to provide a more personalized and efficient customer service experience.
To access your customer history, log into your ServiceWorks account and hover over the Customer tab on the toolbar, then click Customers from the drop-down
Within the customers menu, either search for your desired customer using the search fields or locate the customer by scrolling through the list below

Then hover over the three dots within the Action column and select History
Within the customer history menu, you’ll be able to see basic details about your customer and a history of the last completed jobs
By default, the next scheduled job will be at the top of this list. Once that job has been marked as completed, it will be moved to the very bottom of the list.
To view the jobs in chronological order, you’ll need to click one of the column headers. At the present, there isn’t a way to set the chronological view as the default history view.
You can use the tabs to change between history sections for the customer, seeing items such as trip history, sales history, and even email communications sent to the customer
You can also view customer history by using the History link within any open job, estimation, or POS order
Open Jobs & Estimates
In addition to seeing the customer’s previous service history, you can also view any future jobs or jobs currently in progress in the Open Jobs section.
Return to the customer edit screen by hovering over Customer in the toolbar, then selecting Customers
In the Customers menu, either search for your customer using the search fields or by scrolling through the list below. Once found click on the customers name to continue
Once in the Add/Edit Customer menu, scroll to the bottom to see the Open Jobs tab. This section will show you information on this customer’s upcoming jobs and jobs currently in progress.
