As you use your ServiceWorks software, you may have noticed that there are certain status dispositions assigned to items when they are processed in a return
Here’s a brief explanation of what each return status means so that you can have a clear understanding to use the right one for your intended needs:
1)Back to Stock – This status indicates that the item has been returned back to your inventory. When chosen, the inventory quantity for this item should increase by the amount selected
2) Return to Vendor – This status indicates that the item is set to be returned to the vendor or distributor. When chosen, the inventory quantity will not be changed
3) Return to Shop – This status indicates that the item will be returned to your business’s possession. When chosen, the inventory quantity for this item should increase by the amount selected
4) Quality – This status indicates that the item has been returned because it may be damaged. When chosen, the inventory quantity for this item should increase by the amount selected
5)Kept on Truck – This status indicates that the returned item is now part of a work truck’s inventory. When chosen, the inventory quantity for this item should increase by the amount selected
6)Left In Home – This status indicates that the item has been returned but left at a customer’s home or service location. When chosen, the inventory quantity will not be changed
7)Wrong Part In Box – This status indicates that the item was returned because it was the incorrect item. When chosen, the inventory quantity for this item should increase by the amount selected
8) Invoice – This status indicates that the item has been returned because the service is not ready to be invoiced. When chosen, the inventory quantity for this item should increase by the amount selected
9) Keep on Ticket – This status indicates that the item has been returned because the service is not ready to be invoiced, but the item is still going to be reserved. When chosen, the inventory quantity will not be changed
