A recent feature has been added to the ServiceWorks software that allows you to clone previous jobs into estimates and vice versa. The following tutorial will guide you through the process of how to clone a job into an estimate, and how to clone an estimate into a job.
Cloning a Job Into An Estimate
First, you’ll need to search for the job you want to clone into an estimate. You can use the search in the toolbar to look up jobs by number or navigate to Jobs -> All Jobs to search within that menu. For the sake of this example, we’re going to use the All Jobs method.
Once in the All Jobs menu, you can use the different search criteria to filter your results to find the job you wish to clone.

Once you’ve successfully narrowed your search, hover over the three dots at the end of the ticket and then again over the Clone section. From here, you can select whether to clone the job into another job or into an estimate. For this example, we will be selecting As Estimate.
Once selected, a prompt will appear confirming your selection to clone the job into an estimate. Click OK and then OK again for the confirmation prompt to be taken to the newly cloned estimate, where you can update and save information.

Cloning An Estimate Into A Job
Similar to cloning jobs, you can use the search in the toolbar to look up estimates by number or navigate to Jobs -> All Estimates. For the sake of this example, we’re going to use the All Estimates method.

In the estimation menu, hover over the three dots at the end of a ticket and then again over the Clone section. From here, you can select whether to clone the job into another job or into an estimate. For this example, we will be selecting As Job.
Once selected, a prompt will appear confirming your selection to clone the estimate into a estimate. Confirm both prompts to be taken to the newly cloned job.

Note: at the bottom of both the Edit Job and Edit Estimate menus, there is an option to clone tickets as well.
