Schedule Sidebar

We’re adding a few more elements to one of our more recent features: the schedule sidebar. Here’s a brief rundown of how this will operate within your ServiceWorks account going forward:

No More Popup Menu

With this new update adding a majority of the options available within the schedule popup to the sidebar, we’ve removed the previous menu that would appear when clicking any assigned jobs on the schedule view.

Going forward, when job cards are clicked in the schedule view, the sidebar will now appear with all of the associated information. This function is available in all scheduling views present within the ServiceWorks desktop program.

View Job Totals at a Glance

Now, when clicking on a job within the schedule view, the total amount due for the job will be listed right beneath the job’s status. This will continue to update as you add or remove services and items from the selected job

Job Descriptors, All in One Place!

Another new addition is the ability to set Job Status, Job Type, Call Type, and Call Source directly from the sidebar. This will eliminate the need to go back and forth between the schedule and the job edit menu, simplifying your workflow when it comes to updating or changing job information

Job Duration & Primary Technician Assignment

Job duration can now be edited within the sidebar too! Simply click the edit (pencil) icon to begin to make duration changes for the job. Additionally, any technician selected within the Professional field will now be designated as the supervisor for the job.

Product/Equipment Placement

To alleviate any issues or confusion regarding the Product/Equipment section placement in the menu, we’ve shifted the section further down the sidebar. This will ensure that these components are visible when attending to scheduled jobs

Notes, Notes, Notes!

You will now be able to edit and view Customer Notes, Job Notes, Trip Notes, and Explanation of Services from the sidebar, eliminating the need to open the job edit menu to make changes.

Extra Links

And the final addition to this feature is the inclusion of Customer History, Customer Content, and Payment Links, allowing you to navigate directly to any of these options with a single click.

Use the Check Technician link and select the technicians you wish to attach to the job. Click the crown icon to designate or change the lead technician before saving.
