Red Flags

As you run your operations, you may have certain customers whom you may need to issue a warning to your staff before servicing – whether it be due to specific needs or maybe someone that needs to be handled by a specific technician only. Either way, within ServiceWorks, we offer the option to “Red Flag” a customer. Once this status has been applied to the customers’ information, a warning will appear any time their information is selected or a service is requested.

Here’s how to find and utilize this within ServiceWorks:

To begin, you will need to pull up a customers information. This can be done by creating a new customer, opening an existing customer’s information, or opening an existing job assigned to the customer.

Once pulled up, you should notice a grey flag at the end of the First Name field for the customer. Clicking on this icon will bring up the Red Flag screen.

In this screen, you’ll have the option to mark this customer with a red flag and the option to leave a note for explanation

After which, the name and flag will now appear red whenever viewed or selected:
