When using your Instant Booking module within ServiceWorks, you may find it useful to make one of your selectable services mandatory. Doing so will prevent customers from continuing in the scheduling process or adding additional services BEFORE a mandatory service has been selected. But how do you go about doing this? Here’s a quick tutorial on how to set this up within your Instant Booking settings:
First, you’ll need to enable mandatory selection within the Price List. To access this section, navigate to Configuration -> Price List.
Once within the Price List, head over to the Services on the right hand side and select edit on the service you wish to make mandatory. In this example, we will be making the Dry Carpet Cleaning a required service.
In the next menu, enable the Must Select in Instant Booking toggle to enforce the selection of this service. Once finished, click Save to continue.
Now that the service has been set as mandatory, whenever your customers visit your Instant Booking page they will have to select that service first before choosing any other options. Below is the warning message that will appear whenever a service other than the mandatory is selected.
You can activate this feature for as many services as you need, so feel free to experiment with what works best for your business needs.
