Weekly Update – October 28th, 2023

System Patches and Updates for October 28th, 2023

The following issues, patches, and updates were addressed in our latest update to the ServiceWorks software:

New Features

  • History link added to job card on the schedule board to view previous service history
  • The Payment module of instant booking now includes a separate address checkbox.

Resolved Issues

  • Restored functionality to dynamic tags on the Tech Job Completed template
  • Increased stability and functionality for transactions on billing jobs
  • Resolved issue with Add / Edit Commission link being missing from jobs

Mobile App

  • Resolved an issue where rescheduling jobs in app caused them to appear enroute on the job log
  • Transferring items now displays the technician’s default inventory location
  • Discount codes now apply properly to invoices via ServiceWorks Mobile App
  • Addressed error with the professional role being able to view all scheduled jobs in app
  • External payment link added to payment screen
  • Convert To Job” button no longer appears after converting estimates into jobs


  • Billing History tab has been restored to Job History and Customer History menus
  • Billing Address can now be edited during Instant Booking, even when selected as same as shipping address
  • Jobs classified as Billing no longer send appointment reminders
  • Increased speed and stability on Statements page
  • Product link added to customer options view

We update ServiceWorks over the weekend when a patch or update will also affect the mobile app. This prevents our customers from getting an update notice on their mobile devices when starting their workday. Please keep in mind that the morning following a system promotion, you may experience some temporary slowness when logging into your account. This will go away fast as your system adapts to the latest upgrades.
