Point of Sale Settings refers to the settings and configurations related to POS transactions. Here’s a brief walkthrough of all the options available within the ServiceWorks software:
To begin, click on the cogwheel icon in the toolbar to open the Configurations tab and then navigate to Configuration → Point of Sale Settings

Once in the Point of Sale Settings menu, you’ll have the following options:
Disclaimer
Using the Disclaimer field, you can create and edit a disclaimer to be used at the end of all POS transactions. Fill out the field with any important information pertaining to your business and any disclaimer text needed, then click Save to store your changes.

POS Template Invoice
With the POS Template Invoice, you can alter the invoices created and sent to customers whenever a POS transaction occurrs.
Use the POS Invoice Template toggle to enable or disable customization of your POS invoice. You can use the preview field to view your pending changes to your form template by entering the POS or Transaction Number into the field and selecting Preview.

Opening the Legend on the right-hand side will bring up a list of dynamic data texts that can be used in this template, as well as a description of what each text will display. We highly recommend copying and pasting the text into the template body to maintain the same formatting.


Once finished with your additions to your POS template, be sure to click Save
Field Configuration
Under the body of the template, you’ll see a few columns and toggles related to specific dynamic data texts within the template. Use the toggles to either enable or disable the associated information from your print ticket.
For the POS Invoice template, these field configurations will affect how the

POS Invoice Email
With POS Invoice Email section, you can edit the email that gets sent to your customer that includes the previous POS Invoice.

Be sure the Enabled Automated Notification checkbox is on to have these emails active within your ServiceWorks account. You can use the From Email Address and Email Subject fields to edit both the email address the message is being sent from and the text for the subject of the sent emails.
To preview your current template configuration, type the POS number in to the field next to the Preview button and click the button to view a draft of what your customers will see

In the POS Invoice Email template body, you can use dynamic data text to customize the email messages being sent. You can use the toolbar to access various formatting options, as well as use the legend on the right-hand side to view the dynamic text that is available for this template

With the Text & Robocall templates, you can also create a message to be sent via text or phone call. Click the Enabled Automated Notification checkbox on either template to activate automation.
Note: The robocall template has a limit of 160 characters; please keep that in mind when creating your messages.
