Feature Update: Offline Toggle

The ServiceWorks Pro app has supported an offline mode for quite some time, but now we’re offering the ability to turn the mode off or on using a toggle button.

Now you may be asking yourself: In what situations would I need to use the app offline? Here’s a few quick examples:

Work Anywhere, Anytime:
Technicians can access job details and complete tasks even in remote areas or locations with no internet, like basements or rural sites.

Staying Productive:
A lost internet connection won’t stop work. Users can continue recording data, taking photos, and generating invoices without interruption.

Accurate Data Capture:
Information can be entered immediately, reducing errors and ensuring that details aren’t forgotten before syncing when connectivity is restored.

Faster Workflow:
No waiting for network loading means quicker access to information and faster completion of tasks, saving valuable time on the job.

Save Money and Battery:
Offline use reduces cellular data consumption and extends device battery life by not constantly searching for a signal.

To access this feature within the ServiceWorks Pro app, first login and look for the symbol below near the top of your screen:

See that green checkmark? This indicates that the app is currently connected to our cloud platform, meaning that it’s online and actively using data to update and relay information between the desktop and mobile versions of ServiceWorks. And when you tap on this icon…

It turns into a red X, signifying that the app is within offline mode. The app will remain in offline mode until the icon is pressed again or a user logs out.
