Within the ServiceWorks software, you can view all of your job notes, customer notes, trip notes, and explanation of services all in one convenient menu using the Notes menu.
This feature is extremely useful when needing to enter new notes, update existing ones, or even viewing the previous note history from a job.
Note: You will only be able to edit the most recent customer/job/trip notes
Locating the Notes Panel
To begin, start by logging into your ServiceWorks account and then either opening an existing job or creating a new one. Once in the job edit menu, click the yellow Note History icon in the upper right corner of the screen

Once clicked, you’ll be met with a panel similar to the one below. In this panel, you’ll be able to view the following:

Explanation Of Services
This will be the first text box in this panel. Here, you can view, edit or enter any text related to the explanation of services for the current job, as well as the time, date, and technician that created the note.

Customer Note
This column contains any customer notes created. These will have an icon of a person next to them to signify these are notes for or about the customer on the job

Job Note
This section contains any notes relating to the job. These will have a tool icon next to them to let you know that they’re notes about the servicing of the job.

Trip Note
This section will contain any notes about the current trip on the job. A truck icon will be placed next to any registered trip notes in this section

Generative AI Explanation
The consolidated notes panel also comes with an interesting new feature: The option to generate a comprehensive explanation of services by scanning all of the job notes, trip notes, and job description and summarizing them into an easy to read message.
In the notes panel, once you’ve filled out your job, trip, and job description notes, click the Generare AI button

Once clicked, you’ll receive an AI suggested prompt based on your notes and job description. Click Accept to save the prompt into your explanation of services or click Dismiss to attempt to generate another prompt instead.
Please Note: All current subscribers will be given 10 complimentary uses of the AI Generated Explanation of Services. If you wish to further extend the number of generative texts available within your account once used, please contact our support team to have more uses added to your subscription plan.
