System Update: July 10th, 2025

The following issues, patches, and updates were addressed in our latest update to ServiceWorks:

New Features

  • Reliable Parts Integration
    Our platform is now integrated with the distributor Reliable Parts! You can setup your credentials within the distributor menu and utilize much like our other integrated distributors, including checking item quantities and tracking parts.
  • Weekly Technician Part Pickup
    Techs now have the ability to scan and transfer ready to install parts from the main warehouse / inventory to their individual trucks (iOS Devices Only)

Resolved Issues

  • Updated logic with Email/Text to Customer settings where now adding new customers will reflect the email and text options that are enabled or disabled during creation.
  • Addressed error where optimizing jobs scheduled with a time range in the Daily Time Slot View did not account for the technician’s starting location
  • Resolved issue where creating POS orders for tax exempt customers did not apply the tax exempt status
  • Items returned from job no longer link themselves to other jobs with the item attached
  • Line items no longer appear on invoice while toggle is unchecked
  • Warranty claims receivable now shows both sales tax and labor tax amounts
  • Resolved error where a popup would appear when adding Marcone parts while the autosave inventory option was checked
  • Addressed issue where creating PO’s from the item needed page dis not update the price and quantity for parts within the purchase order
  • Restored functionality to the search icon (magnifying glass) on the edit job menu
  • Adjusted error where discount amounts did not sync properly with QuickBooks
  • Removed Reset All Inventory button from the inventory menu

Mobile App

  • Jobs with multiple trips now display all trip contents within the mobile app.
  • Improved loading times when accessing the Job Discussion menu
  • Resolved issue where creating new items in the mobile app did not reflect on the desktop side
  • Daily Parts Required” label changed to “Parts Pick List

Enhancements

  • Integrated Distributor Selection
    Now when creating new distributors within the ServiceWorks software, you’ll be able to select from a list of our currently integrated distributors (Marcone, Encompass, Reliable, etc)
  • Job Count Display
    Schedule Board now displays the number of jobs within each of the job category tabs—UnassignedReady to be Rescheduled, and On Hold
  • Auto-generated Parts ID Tracking
    The system will now automatically generated a tracking ID for parts anytime they enter one of the following statuses on a job: Allocated, Keep On Ticket, Invoice, or Delivered / Completed
  • Ready to be Rescheduled Update
    Going forward, when a job is scheduled from the Ready to Be Rescheduled tab by dragging or clicking the desired date, the system will take into account if the first trip on the job has been marked as enroute.

    If 1st Trip is En-Routed: The system will create a second trip on the job once a date has been selected
    If 1st Trip is not En-Routed: No extra trip will be created and the job will be scheduled on the selected date.


We update ServiceWorks over the weekend when a patch or update will also affect the mobile app. This prevents our customers from getting an update notice on their mobile devices when starting their workday. Please look for our maintenance notification emails. Please note, the morning after a promotion to the system, you may see some temporary slowness when first logging into your account. This will clear up quickly as your system takes in the new updates.
