System Update: April 24th, 2025

The following issues, patches, and updates were addressed in our latest update to ServiceWorks:

  • Parts Credit
    Learn more about how to accurately track credits received and applied to distributors and warranty claims processors
  • Specific Time Range Optimization
    We’ve made it possible to add jobs at specific times into the automation process on the Daily Time Slot scheduling view! Simply select your Time Range jobs alongside any that are scheduled for the AM, PM or All Day* and they will be optimized according to time of day, route, and distance

*Note: This feature WILL NOT work if more than one additional scheduling time frame (AM, PM, or All Day) is selected to be optimized with Specific Time jobs


  • Address Search in Job Edit Menu
    With the addition of the address search menu, you can quickly search for customers by any of their assigned addresses. Each of the customer information fields have also become search fields

  • Invalid Parts Error Highlight for Marcone Cart
    When parts unregistered with Marcone are selected to be purchased via the Marcone Cart feature, the invalid parts will now be highlighted in addition to the appearance of the error message. The highlight will remain until you refresh or navigate to a separate page.

  • Parts on Job / Part Pickup Icon
    We’ve added two additional icons to the schedule view.

    The first icon will appear on jobs where parts are required to complete the job

    The Second icon will appear when parts for the job have been either picked up or are present on a work vehicle (Note this will only appear if ALL the parts for the job have been marked as present)

  • Editable Serialized Items During Import
    We’ve added the ability to edit serialized item information during the import process. These changes can be made within the .csv file after exporting or when finalizing the changes in ServiceWorks

  • Editable Items in Items Needed
    You can now change or edit any items added to the items needed page. This includes price changes, cost changes, item numbers, brands, distributors, and disposition

  • Resolved issue where editing disclaimers resulted in the text not being saved or the format being off-centered in the mobile app
  • Credit card payments no longer display discrepancies based on where the payment was taken
  • Restored functionality to the Save Item/Product button in the job edit menu
  • Addressed error where jobs with multiple trips would display as duplicates
  • POS returns now display correctly on invoices
  • Resolved issue where model search via mobile app would be nonfunctional
  • Addressed issue where technicians could not edit customer notes
  • Restored visibility to the payment receipt dynamic link
  • Fixed error where setting the default distributor for items was not reflected when adding items to a job


We update ServiceWorks over the weekend when a patch or update will also affect the mobile app. This prevents our customers from getting an update notice on their mobile devices when starting their workday. Please look for our maintenance notification emails. Please note, the morning after a promotion to the system, you may see some temporary slowness when first logging into your account. This will clear up quickly as your system takes in the new updates.
