Within ServiceWorks, we’ve come up with another way for you to efficiently and seamlessly create new jobs – Directly from the schedule menu!
Now you may be wondering: Can’t I already do this from within my ServiceWorks account? And the answer is yes, you can. But this new addition creates a more direct way of scheduling without having to move back and forth between menus.
To reiterate: This method of job creation is just another way to create jobs within ServiceWorks; it will not replace or make any other method of job creation obsolete.
Now let’s get into how to use this new enhancement to the software:
Using the Create New Job Button from Schedule View
Start by logging into your ServiceWorks account. In the upper right corner, just below the cogwheel icon, you should now see a Create New Job button. This will appear regardless of what your default schedule view will look like. Click this button to continue

Once clicked, you should be taken to a screen where you can view both the current day’s schedule in addition to a sidebar popup containing fields from the edit item menu.

You can also use the blue icon towards the bottom to switch between a calendar view of the daily schedule and a map view.

On the left side of this menu, you can see the current day’s schedule, along with any tech’s working that day, any scheduled jobs, and the current zone being scheduled. The zones can be edited by using the dropdown field next to the Create New Job button.

On the right side of this menu, you can see the specific fields from the job edit menu such as: Customer Search, Service Address, Schedule, Customer Details, Job Details, and Product Details. When you’ve finished entering, click Save to continue. Alternatively, you can also click on a space within the schedule portion to automatically assign your job within the time selected on the calendar.
